Tebogo Malatji

Tebogo is the Managing Director of the well-known and reputable legal firm: Malatji & Co Attorneys. He is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, with 24 years post-admission experience.

His practice comprises of a full spectrum of advisory and litigation services offered to Boards, Statutory Councils and CEOs of statutory bodies as well as parastatals on all aspects of Public Law, the exercise of public power and the performance of public functions, major commercial transactions, the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations and Directives, corporate governance as well as restructurings.

He also advises various corporate entities, given his wealth of experience in his advisory role to the Public Sector, regarding regulatory requirements of commercial transactions, compliance with and interpretation of legislation. In this role he assists the corporate world in maintaining legal health given the dictates of the regulatory environment within which their businesses operate.

Tebogo is involved in legislative drafting and regularly attends to Review Applications and Public Law Litigation centred around the interpretation of legislation. He has acted on behalf of various Ministers and Boards of Public Entities in relation to disciplinary proceedings and mutual separation agreements relating to Chief Executive Officers and Chief Financial Officers of said entities.

Tebogo has advised major clients such as the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Economic Development, as well as the Minister of Public Works on a variety of matters.

He has also acted as a Judge of the High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division, Pretoria, as well as Chairperson of the Appeal Committee of the Council for the Built Environment.
